Mike Osterling
Mike Osterling has more than 20 years’ experience leading Lean transformations and business performance improvement from within organizations and as an external consultant.
Internally, he led a plant-wide transformation effort, which resulted in 65% reduction in errors, 52% reduction in customer complaints, 79% reduction in accidents, and a 59% improvement in productivity.
As a consultant, he has coached, trained, and facilitated leadership and improvement teams in a broad range of industries including manufacturing, oil and gas, financial services, technology, and healthcare.
Mike has co-authored several books with Karen Martin including Value Stream Mapping, The Kaizen Event Planner, and Metrics-Based Process Mapping. He’s a Certified Lean Implementer, Six Sigma Black Belt, and holds a BS in Operations Management and MBA in International Business.
