Amita Sherwood
Amita Sherwood has over 20 years of experience in business performance improvement and organizational effectiveness. She began her career with GE Capital in their Information Management Leadership Program.
She has deep experience transforming organizations, building continuous improvement cultures, developing leaders, facilitating teams, and developing compelling learning and development content.
Amita has also coached thousands of continuous improvement practitioners and leaders at all levels in Fortune 50 organizations, health systems, government, and nonprofits. Clients have achieved from five-digit to multi-million benefits from individual improvement efforts. Her greatest passion is empowering people to improve their work and organizational performance through structured problem-solving and critical thinking.
Amita is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and holds a B.S. in Management Science and Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University. She’s also a Senior Fellow with the George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership.
